Dr. Bae recently moved to Northern Virginia, but her hometown is not that far away in Yorktown, Virginia. She graduated from VCU in 2013 and then moved to Tennessee where she completed her training at the Southern College of Optometry and obtained her Doctor of Optometry in 2019. She completed clinical rotations in different settings including a surgical center and private practice, but her passion resides in private practice since it allows her to get personal with patients and truly build lasting relationships. She also spent time after graduation volunteering in eye clinics throughout Belize because she believes serving underserved communities is a key role we can play. 

Her main passion lies in helping to slow down the progression of kids' near-sightedness, also known as myopia management. Being a high myope herself, she understands the risks of having a high prescription and the benefits and value it is for children to act early on to better set them up for their futures. She is certified to fit overnight hard lenses called orthokeratology and MiSight soft contact lenses.  

When she is not in the clinic then you can catch her volunteering at church or in a cafe with friends!
